Pestle Mortar Presents: 'Us'

At its core, Pestle Mortar has always been about people. The ones who believed in us, who wore the stories we told, and who became part of the journey. Without them, there is no Us. This collection is about the people and places that allow us to be most ourselves, the idea that while we can belong anywhere, there are certain connections and spaces that bring us closer to who we truly are.

Behind The Lens: Zane Gan

The ‘Us’ collection is about people and the places that let us be most ourselves and to bring that idea to life, we sent the collection to New York City and asked one of our own, a photographer and filmmaker; Zane Gan, to capture it in any way he resonates to.

Zane chose to capture moments in the neighbourhoods where he and his friends feel most at home: the Lower East Side, and Chinatown. His lens turned those spaces into a reflection of the collection’s spirit: rooted in identity, shaped by community, and alive in the places that give us the freedom to just be ourselves.
