Pestle & Mortar Clothing may have had humble beginnings at festival stalls but we always knew the brand was destined for greatness. It’s been five years since and in that time, Pestle & Mortar has become one of SEA’s leading streetwear brands with four retail outlets in KL and another one on the way. With fans that span 10 countries, it is pretty apt that these good fellas of Pestle & Mortar dedicate their Spring 2015 collection to “taking down old barriers and crossing into other continents”. It certainly is a collection that must be close to their hearts as the brand’s founder Hugh Koh himself recently travelled to the States to spread the Pestle & Mortar love. Ain’t no mountain high or low for Hugh and co., that’s for sure!

For “Crossing Borders”, Pestle & Mortar takes a bold new step into foreign territory as you can see them experimenting with new styles, prints and interesting fabrics (especially for the women’s line), but not so much until it will alienate existing fans. Highlights of the collection includes the Maritime Harrington Jacket, the Vader Long Sleeve Shirt that features elastic bomber style cuffs, and loads more. All in all, “Crossing Borders” might not be the most cohesive collection, but it is a strong one nonetheless. If you’re thinking of starting your own brand one day, then Pestle & Mortar most definitely is a prime example.

Check them out on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter for more information and promotions. You can even shop the collection at their flagship store at 11, Jalan Telawi 5, Bangsar Baru, or here on Major Drop.
