The Internal Artist Series is our collaborative platform highlighting our designers that work here at Pestle & Mortar Clothing. We are firm believers that each one of us at PMC has stories worth telling whether it be about our background or even our life experiences. Spearheading our first chapter is Adam Usupov @10adam who is a designer hailing from Kyrgyzstan. Adam spent 6 months with us here in Malaysia and during his time with us immersed himself in Malaysian culture and heritage. Together with Adam, we are proud to introduce his debut collection “Manifesto”
Manifesto is a 6-piece capsule that plays on everyday Malaysian life as seen through the eyes of Adam, living here for the first time. From an homage to his favourite Nasi Lemak to the Soviet Propaganda design style of our harimau Malaysia, Manifesto is an experimental look for PMC and in Soviet Russia, Clothing Wears You.
